A COW which had two of its legs broken last night in a road traffic collision had to be put down by a vet.
It had been lying in the middle of the road bleeding, stressed and unable to get up on Minchinhampton common on Cirencester Road.
Police were informed of the incident at about 10:50 last night.
The driver who hit the cow stopped at the scene and the owner was informed and was due to collect the cow this morning.
