A FUN day was held in Daisy Bank gardens, Stroud to raise money to replace play equipment destroyed by vandals.
The Friends of Daisy Bank group, who meet to maintain the park between Horns Road and Bisley Road, are aiming to raise £5,000 to fund a new roundabout.
Chairman Hayley Shortt said: “We had a roundabout but it was vandalised and we had to remove it.
“We want to buy one that is all inclusive and can be used by any child.
“It will cost £5,000 and we are about half way there.”
Crowds flocked to Daisy Day on Saturday to enjoy a new, ‘all-inclusive’ basket swing which was bought with support from Stroud Town Council.
There were also craft workshops, circus skills and live music to keep visitors entertained.
Friends of Daisy Bank, set up in 2012, have been working in partnership with Stroud Town Council to improve the play area for the last two years.
