PUPILS, parents and staff had a whale of a time at the first fete at their new school building.
Those attending the event at Watermoor Primary School in Cirencester took part in a host of fun-filled activities, such as archery, beating the goalie and axe throwing.
Children also leaped for joy on a bouncy castle as well as enjoying rides on bikes and swing boats.
Music came in the shape of ukulele band Plucking Different and mouths were fed thanks to barbecue run by 4th Cirencester Guides.
The fete galvanised the community, with the Beeches Community Group, Cirencester Football Club, firefighters from Cirencester Fire Station and skateboarders taking part.
Alison Pine, chairman of the school governors, was in a buoyant mood after the event.
She said: βIt went incredibly well - it was very very busy - I am really pleased.β
The school moved to its new base on Kingshill Lane from Watermoor Road, Cirencester in March.
And Alison said the event was a great way to showcase the new building.
