FOLLOWING news that the FT has been bought by Japanese media firm Nikkei, The Daily Mash has posted a joke story saying the newspaper is swapping the hectic pace of life in London for the peace and tranquility of the Five Valleys.
‘Under the terms of the deal the FT will move from its current offices in central London to the Daily Mash’s new, multi-million pound HQ near Stroud, complete with a funky, organic canteen and huge quantities of diazepam,’ the article states.
The Stroud News & Journal is looking forward to meeting the staff and introducing them to key figures in the business community.
An inside source at the FT admitted to the SNJ: "There genuinely was a rumour going around the office yesterday that we were moving to Stroud until we realised it started from the Daily Mash."
