ANTIQUES expert and TV presenter David Dickinson was thrilled with the objects that came through the door when Dickinson’s Real Deal came to Stroud last Saturday, July 18.
Dozens dug out their valuable possessions in the hope of being quids in when the popular ITV1 daytime show was filmed at Stratford Park Leisure Centre.
Paul Tasker, series editor of Dickinson’s Real Deal, said: “David was thrilled with the quality of the objects that came through the door in Stroud. We had a wonderful collection of Everest mountaineering memorabilia, the late Queen Mother’s ration book from the Second World War, a stunning opal ring and the original instalments of Charles Dickens’ masterpiece Bleak House.
“The opal ring made the most money on the day – nearly £500.
“David had a wonderful day and the people of Stroud were a real pleasure to meet.”
The episode will be broadcast on ITV early next year.
