July Medal
KATE SYMOKE'S winning run continued in the July Medal at Cirencester Golf Club which saw fine weather for the 21 ladies who took part.
Alison Henshaw won Division One with a score of a net 71, ahead of Jane Broderick (75) who pipped Emma Brereton (75) on countback. Emma also returned the lowest gross score.
Division Two was taken by Kate Symoke with a net 70; ladies' captain Jayne Worthington returned 74 for second place.
Kate has had her handicap reduced by 29 to 26 thanks to her exceptional scoring.
Jan Stephens got a two in the Saturday medal.
Muriel Button and Strokeplay THIRTY-TWO ladies played the Ladies' Vets Muriel Button and Strokeplay competition.
Division One was won by Sheila Lowbridge with 68 points; runner-up was Hilary Swan with the lowest gross score on 71.
Division Two was won by Paula Lester-Powell (70pts) with Deirdre Waddell (71) taking second on countback from Sheila Marsh (71).
The three ladies who returned twos were: Sheila Lowbridge, Sheila Westmacott and Jane Muncer.
Club Captain's Day ELEVEN teams of ladies played in the Club Captain's Day on Sunday in the most dreadful weather conditions.
The team of Ali Kelly and Emma Brereton took a fine third place. The ladies' section would like to thank captain Trevor Hing for his kind hospitality at the Halfway House.
