ARE you pregnant and feeling you would like to do some gentle exercise designed especially for mums-to-be?

The SNJ has joined up with National Childbirth Trust (NCT) - the UK’s largest charity for parents - to give five ladies the chance to win four free passes to the NCT Relax Stretch and Breathe class running at Uplands Primary School in Thompson Road, Stroud.

Each winner will also get a £50 voucher to spend in the online NCT shop nctshop.co.uk, which has mother and baby items including yoga for pregnancy clothing and equipment.

The friendly and informal classes, which start at 6.30pm on Mondays, are a unique opportunity to combine gentle yoga-based exercise with meeting up with other mums-to-be, and you don’t need any previous yoga experience.

NCT teacher Gillian Holmes: “Women prepare for the physical experience of birth by learning a variety of breathing techniques, relaxation techniques and positions which will help during labour. And of course, the classes are fun and many people make new friends.”

One of participants said: “I think the course was excellent. I feel much more prepared for life with a new baby. I learnt so much and found the information both useful and interesting. I would definitely recommend it to other parents-to-be.”
