STUDENT satisfaction at South Gloucestershire and Stroud (SGS) College is flying sky high, according to latest figures issued from the National Student Survey (NSS).

The NSS is an annual survey of final year undergraduates, which collects feedback on their time at university or colleges providing higher education courses.

An impressive 80 per cent of SGS College students agreed with the statement ‘Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of the course’ and were rated 91 per cent in personal development.

This year’s NSS results demonstrate clear improvements. SGS College’s score indicates an overall increase in satisfaction across all six areas of the survey compared to 2014.

This information is used to create the much valued league tables and provides prospective students information that may affect their decisions of what and where to study.

Sara-Jane Watkins, vice principal, said: “At SGS College we put student experience at the heart of everything we do and I am delighted that this is reflected in the latest NSS figures.

“These results provide us with a clear indication of what we are doing right, and importantly, where we can improve. These results are excellent and are a credit to all our Higher Education staff who always go that one step further.”

The degrees at SGS are awarded in partnership with the University of Gloucestershire.
