A DYNAMIC duo have released an excerpt from Little Metropolis, a poetry and music show they put together for the Stroud Fringe Festival.

Poet and author Adam Horovitz and musician Joe Reeve, both from Stroud, were commissioned to write the show by festival organisers.

"It is particularly brilliant to be commissioned for the Fringe," said Adam.

"It is great that more art forms are coming back to the festival.

"Little Metropolis is about Stroud and interpretations of Stroud.

"It features interviews with people from the town."

The hour-long piece has taken the two artists the best part of 14 concentrated days of work.

This track by Adam and Joe, celebrates what used to be The Pelican, now the boarded up Market Tavern, which Adam said "used to be one of the greatest dodgy dives you could ever go to as a teenager".

Adam and Joe will be performing Little Metropolis as the closing act of the spoken word day on the Sunday at Lansdown Hall.
