FOREST Green Rovers fans will get a chance to have their say on their club’s plans for a new 5000-seater stadium near Eastington.

The National League side will be holding a drop-in session as part of the public consultation for the Eco Park stadium, before the Bromley game on Bank Holiday Monday.

FGR chairman Dale Vince has outlined proposals to build the modern stadium as part of a £100million sports and green technology centre near Stroud.

Dubbed Eco Park, the 100-acre site would include state-of-the-arts sporting facilities, including training fields, indoor 4G pitches and a multi-disciplinary sporting area, as well as a sports science hub.

The new stadium would also have the capacity to be expanded to seat 10,000 fans in the future.

The other half of the site, located near junction 13 of the M5, would comprise of a green technology business park, which FRG chairman Mr Vince has claimed could provide up to 4,000 jobs for the area.

As part of the public consultation on the initial concept design, FGR are inviting fans to come along to this first drop-in session at The New Lawn stadium between noon and 2.45pm before the Bromley game.

Representatives from both FGR and Ecotricity will be on hand to answer questions and gather feedback.

Further drop-in sessions will be held at The New Lawn on Wednesday September 2, in Eastington on Thursday September 3 and in Stroud on September 8.
