FURTHER arrests have been made after a man died and two others were injured outside a birthday party in Gloucester.

21-year-old Dolton Powell was stabbed outside All Nations Community Centre off Eastern Avenue in the early hours of the morning of Sunday August 23.

Despite emergency first aid given at the scene by paramedics he died later in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

A second man was also seriously injured and underwent surgery, while a third man was treated for minor injuries.

Two males, one aged 17 and one aged 18, both from the Bristol area, were arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody for police questioning.

Several other people have already been arrested in connection with the muder.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector, Steve Porter said: “We are continuing to investigate the exact events leading to the death of Dolton Powell in the early hours of Sunday morning.

“We are actively pursuing other suspects believed to be from the Bristol area and considering the possibility that one or more of these suspects sustained injuries during the events that resulted in Dolton’s death.

“We are asking, as a matter of urgency, for anyone with any information that may help us identify or locate those responsible for the death of Dolton Powell to come forward.”

Of the three men arrested on Monday one, from Bristol, was released without charge and two, from Gloucester, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries to September 15.
