A CREATIVE sports writing course will run from 11 to13 September at the Global Language Immersion Centre in Gloucester.
Run by the award winning and critically acclaimed author Max Adams, the workshops will look at sports writing in all its formats from sports commentary to tweeting and blogging.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a professional author and come away with your own original piece of work.
The whole weekend only costs £25 (£10 concessions) and can be booked by emailing readiscover@gloucestershire.gov.uk or by calling 01452 425030.
The weekend of sports themed writing workshops is part of the south west libraries Reading Passport promotion which offers innovative and engaging ways to encourage readers to explore a wider range of reading for pleasure.
The project is a partnership between the South Western Regional Library Service, Literature Works and has received additional support from the Royal Literary Fund and Arts Council England.
