HUGE vegetables, live music, delicious cakes and a lot of fun - the annual Bisley Fete and Flower Show was once again a huge success on Saturday.
The popular event was held in Evans’ Field off Cheltenham Road in Bisley, with all profits from the fete going towards the upkeep of All Saints’ Church.
Among the highlights was Robin Hicks' victory for the second year in a row in the best vegetables competition, with his marrow which weighed 60-65lbs particularly impressing.
“I’m very chuffed to have won again,” said the 50-year-old.
“Since I moved to Stroud three years ago and took up the new hobby, people at the allotments and growing clubs have been very helpful and given me a lot of encouragement, so I’d like to say thank you to them all.
“The event was a great success. I’m certainly looking forward to entering again next year.”
