PARK Infant School and Children’s Centre in Stonehouse has a new name and logo.
From yesterday, September 1, it became Stonehouse Park Infant School and Children’s Centre.
A new logo with a tree design has also been adopted, created jointly by pupils, teachers, parents and governors.
The aim is to reflect the school’s place at the centre of the community.
Paul Stephens, chairman of governors, said: “We are proud to provide the first years of primary education for Stonehouse and therefore wanted to have the name of our town in the name of our school.”
Head teacher Rachel Edwards said: “We now have a name and logo which reflect our nurturing, caring environment combined with our ongoing strive for excellence to provide the best possible start for every child in our town.”
