A RUNAWAY car rolled down a hill in Nailsworth and smashed into a butchers shop, breaking a window and damaging a wall.
The black Kia hit Leonard Walkers butcher shop in George Street at around 3pm this afternoon.
The car had been parked outside the Olive Tree restaurant opposite the butcher's.
Butcher Nigel Birkett said: "We were in the back making sausages when we heard a really loud bang.
"It hit the wall with quite an impact and smashed the window.
"It then rebounded off the wall and started rolling back when a couple of men stopped it from going into the road."
Video footage was posted on social media showing the empty car abandoned in the street.
The driver has since returned to the car.
