A SCHOOLBOY from Stroud will be appearing in Laurie Lee's Cider with Rosie amongst a host of film stars this Sunday.
Dylan Turland, aged seven, from Bussage Primary School, will play Laurie Lee's older brother Jack in the BBC 1 drama which will be shown on Sunday.
He will be among a stellar cast including June Whitfield, Samantha Morton, Timothy Spall and Emma Curtis.
Head teacher Andy Fergurson said: "We are delighted that one of our pupils has been given this fantastic opportunity to play one of the great literary figures.
"It is very exciting for the school and we look forward to watching Dylan on Sunday."
Directed by Philippa Lowthorpe, the younger actors in the drama are all children from primary schools who have had little or no previous acting experience.
The coming-of-age story also stars newcomer Archie Cox from Cirencester who plays protagonist Laurie.
Filming took place in Slad and Miserden last September and October.
