South Cerney 3 Oaksey 0

A MATCH between the top and bottom sides brought the best out of struggling Oaksey who went behind to a Tim Bond goal after just three minutes but recovered well and at times were more than a match for the unbeaten South Cerney.

The home side doubled their lead with a penalty from Dan Jones but despite this Oaksey were at times on top in the last 20 minutes of the opening half.

Oaksey’s second half performance was even better and South Cerney were perhaps a little fortunate to claim a breakaway goal from Matt Lammond to make it 3-0.

Phil Hall, taking charge of the visitors for the first time, clearly saw that his side has much to offer and that first win cannot be far away.
