Chairman's Reserve Challenge Cup 1st Rnd
Letcombe Reserves 0 Purton Reserves 5
PURTON Reserves travelled away to Letcombe for the second week on the trot, this time in the Chairman's UHL Cup.
Purton won 4-3 in the league last week but made things much simpler this time with a comfortable 5-0 success.
After a minute's silence for long-time sponsor of the club Les Smith the game got under way.
Purton were 3-0 up at half-time through a own goal, a Jake Bailey strike and a Shane Hibbert penalty.
Ed Herbert made it 4-0 in the second half and a wonder strike from just inside the halfway line by Jamie Ashby finished off the 5-0 win in style.
Purton now face a tough away trip to Oxford City Nomads Development in the next round.
