PREPARATIONS are being made for a Glamour and Glitz Dinner Dance and Auction at Wycliffe College in Stonehouse.

Money raised from the event will go towards the building of an oak-framed pavilion at the Preparatory School and the Burnet Ward Bursary.

The bursary enables pupils to attend the college who would not otherwise be able to due to financial reasons.

Music will be provided by funk and soul band The Peachys. Their sets include everything from 1950s favourites to modern day number ones as well as feature songs by James Brown, Aretha Franklin, The Killers and Pharrell Williams.

Guests will be treated to welcome drinks and canapes on arrival, a four course dinner and two bottles of wine.

Prizes at the auction include a trip to Drayton Manor Theme Park and an executive chef who will cook for a private dinner party at the winner’s home.

A spokesman for the school said: “We already have some wonderful prizes. The evening promises to be an unforgettable event and the money raised will go to two very worthy Wycliffe projects.”
