THE Annual General Meeting of Cirencester Golf Club's seniors' section was held on October 5 when the accounts were approved and a new committee elected for the forthcoming year.

Clive Bennett was thanked for his two years of excellent service as seniors' captain and the position was passed to Andrew Tunnicliffe for 2015/16.

The AGM trophy presentations also took place to the winning golfers in several categories.

The Griffith-Jones Salver for the best three of five winter stableford scores went to Gerry Bruton & John Morris with 114 points. The Spring Meeting Hansford Cup was won by Nigel Curtis with 40 points, and the Seniors Champion was awarded to John Morris with a gross score of 76.

Other awards were the Goddard Cup for performance in the summer stablefords going to Martin Harrison with 111 points, the Bill Burn Trophy to Chris Watson, the Singles Knockout to Peter Knight, the Pairs Knockout to Rob Worthington & Rob Johnson and the Singles Plate to Jim Donovan.

The final award for Golfer of the Year went to Roger Dodd for his outstanding contribution to the work of the seniors' section.

As in previous years a Bowmaker competition was held prior to the AGM which was won by Gerald Park, Peter Knight and David Findlay with a very high score of 85 points. Second place went to Tony Gatrell, Gerry Bruton and Bob Allen, on countback from John Whitbread, Graham Morgan and Paul Simmonds in third place.
