JORDAN WEAVING'S stop-start season took a downward turn when he crashed out of Silverstone's National Superstock 600 race on the third lap.

Despite qualifying on the front row, the 18-year-old former Deer Park student was unable to add any championship points on his NMT No Limits Kawasaki.

Weaving was racing in second place when he lost the front end of his bike and crashed out, though thankfully he was uninjured.

Understandably downbeat, Weaving explained: “When I crash and it's a rider error I’ll admit it, but today wasn't a rider error.

"From the out lap to the grid I felt a really bad vibration through the front when changing direction and cornering, so I rushed to the grid to try and find the problem. However, we ran out of time and I just had to pray and ride through the problem.

"In the first few laps it took me a while to get confidence in the front and I tried so hard to ride through the problem for as long as possible.

"I managed to close the gap and stay in second the whole race, but unfortunately it got worse as the race went on. The team are investigating the problem."
