ROBBERS who broke into a house in Kingscote, Tetbury stole various silver items and pieces of jewellery which they may have carried away in a pillow case.

The robbery took place around midday on Thursday, October 1.

A passer-by heard the alarm activation and saw a man walking away from the house with what was thought to be a white carrier bag in his hand.

This male is described as white, about 35 years old and around 5’ 8” tall.

He was wearing a dark jacket with a red logo, a woolly hat and blue gloves.

It is believed this man may have driven off in a silver “Japanese style” 4x4 vehicle, similar to a Mitsubishi Shogun, which was seen in the area and was missing its front grille.

Both the vehicle and the suspect are distinctive, given the missing grille and the fact it was a hot day and a person wearing hat and gloves would stand out.

The burglary has caused huge distress to the family as items of sentimental value have been taken and cannot be replaced.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the offender/s or the vehicle, or have any information about the incident to please call 101 quoting Incident Number 176 of 1st October 2015.
