AN application for a licence to hold a hunting group’s annual ball in Cirencester Park has been supported by Cirencester Town Council.
The Vale of the White Horse wish to hold the event in the Leisure Area of the park on September 17 and 19 and have applied for a premises licence.
Members of the town council planning committee recommended that the plans be approved on Thursday September 8.
Councillors said that the location was ideal to hold a ball.
Councillor Patrick Coleman said: “If you are going to hold something noisy then that is as good a place as any.”
The plans were recommended for approval subject to a satisfactory noise management plan being put in place.
They will now be passed to Cotswold District Council which will examine them before deciding if they can be approved.
