WHEN a teenager from Stroud turned 14 in August she decided to do something meaningful so she is shaving her head at Halloween to raise money.
Rowan Weaver, who is hoping to raise £1,000, will donate all the money she collects to her two favourite charities - Wateraid and The Sumatran Orangutan Society.
She's already reached half her goal and if you want to contribute to her appeal go to https://www.justgiving.com/Rowan-Weaver1 to give to Water Aid and https://www.justgiving.com/Rowan-Weaver.
Charlie from Vogue Haircare is shaving her head for free on Saturday, October 31 at 11:30am during Stroud Farmers Market outside The Toy Shop on Cornhill.
WaterAid works in 37 countries worldwide to provide safe drinking water and sanitation, helping to prevent thousands of people dying from water-borne diseases.
There are less than 6,000 Sumatran Orangutans left in the wild, and without urgent action, they will soon be the first Great Ape species to become extinct.
