ENTRIES are filling up quickly for the Stroud Half Marathon.

Organised by Full on Sport in association with Stroud Athletics Club, the 13.1 mile race will take place on Sunday, October 25 and more than 1,200 runners are expected to enter.

The Stroud Half, in its 34th year, will be supporting The Door Youth Project and Allsorts, with volunteers from both charities taking part in the run.

Steve Elliott, race director, said: "The race entry will see a wide cross section of athletes, all with their own motivation for taking the start line.

"Fingers crossed for good weather, and it would be great to see members of the local community out lining the streets to give the athletes a fantastic Stroud welcome."
