STROUD’S sky sparkled with colour last night as Five Valley’s Fireworks returned with a bang.

Hundreds of people of all ages gathered under clear skies to watch the display at Marling School playing field off Cainscross Road.

Formerly known as the Ebley Firework Display the event was jointly organized by the Rotary clubs of Stroud, Nailsworth and Stonehouse.

Former British firework champions, Star Fireworks, provided the entertainment – choreographing the display to hit songs including Frozen’s ‘Let it Go’ and Queen’s classic ‘The Show Must Go On’.

Other attractions of the charity event included John Coneleys Fun Fair and a wide selection of food, including favourites such as toffee apples and candy floss.
