Police are appealing for information after a driver was killed following a crash on the M5 yesterday.

The incident happened just north of junction 13 on the southbound side of the motorway at around 5.25am on the morning of November 12.

A blue BMW 1-series car collided with a white articulated lorry. The driver of the BMW, a 21-year-old man from Gloucester, died at the scene.

The coroner and victim's next of kin have been informed, however formal identification has not yet been carried out. The driver of the lorry was physically unharmed in the collision.

Anyone who may have information on the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 47 of November 12.
