X FACTOR star Hannah Marie Kilminster made an emotional return to Cirencester Kingshill School for an evening filled with song, dance and comedy that raised cash for Children in Need.

Hannah Marie, a former student of the school, performed at its sell out talent show on Friday and also formed part of its judging panel.

On what was her first return to the school since she left it, Hannah Marie and other judges had a hard job choosing the winner but in the end 1st place went to guitarist Blue Watson.

Hannah Marie, who grew up in North Cerney and spent the day at the school, said: “The children were so talented.

“It was a really special moment going back to the school where I came from and hopefully inspire the children in what they want to do in the future.

“It was really strange sitting on the teacher’s table for lunch and eating chips and beans,” Hannah joked.

Helping site manager Mark Hill compere on the night and manage the acts was Year 9 pupils Ella Bettis and Carson Marion.

Second place award went to singing and gymnastic combination, Ella Court, Mia Davis Farr and Alissa Macgregor while third place went to Hannah Pearce, who performed a heartfelt version of Heaven by Bryan Adams. And Hannah Marie, 30, was so impressed by the ballet dancing of Iona Harding that she created a special X Factor award to give to her.
