A VINTAGE bus tour will be coming to Gloucestershire this Christmas in aid of a leading childhood bereavement charity.
Winston’s Wish helps children and young people rebuild their lives after the death of their mum, dad, brother or sister, enabling them to face the future with confidence and hope.
The charity is Stagecoach West’s chosen Christmas charity this year and with their support Winston’s Wish, which supports over 40,000 bereaved children each year, hopes to add to its target of raising £2.5million.
The bus will be stopping at various locations across Gloucestershire between December 7-11 delivering presents and collecting donations.
Liz Thatcher, fundraiser at Winston’s Wish, said: “This is a wonderful Christmas event to enjoy with family. We are hugely grateful to everyone at Stagecoach West who are involved with the vintage Christmas tour bus for supporting Winston’s Wish.”
The charity, which depends almost entirely on donations, was the first charity to establish child bereavement support services in the UK and continues to lead the way in providing specialist services across the country.
