  • Cotswold AONB Wardens’ Walks in and around Stroud. Today, Wednesday, November 11, from Sapperton Church to Siccaridge Woods and Daneway House. A four mile walk taking three hours. Friday, November 13 from‘Hunters Hall Inn to Tiltups End and Hazlecote. A six mile walk taking four hours. Next Tuesday, November 17, a five mile walk taking three hours from Hawkesbury Upton village hall to Midger Nature Reserve.   • Want to get out on a bike but not sure how to do it? Stonehouse Wheelers is a family friendly Cycling Club and always welcomes new cyclists. If you are new to cycling why not get in touch with the Secretary Roy Jones on 01453 298759. They organise a range of rides, on Sunday afternoons, to cater for the ambitious and the not-so ambitious.   • Stonehouse Goodwill Fest Saturday, November 28. Come along and meet Father Christmas in his grotto, lots of stalls, face painting, fun fair and the magical lantern procession at 5pm and the Christmas Lights will be switched on. A real family occasion.

  • Christmas is coming. Put the date in your diary for the special Crib Service at St Cyr’s on Christmas Eve at 2pm. Children are invited to share in the story so do bring them along dressed up as one of the characters in the story.

  • Shopping in Stonehouse and in need of refreshment then why not pop in to the Pop In in the Community Centre. It is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 9.30am and 11.30am. And should you have some spare time they are in need of volunteers so if you think you have an odd hour or two and could help then contact Pam Hurlston on 01453 825150.
  • The Citizens Advice Bureau has an advice worker available in the Town Hall every Thursday from 10am to 1pm. No need for an appointment – just drop-in. An advice worker is also available in the APT community shop on the Park Estate on Thursday afternoons from 1pm.
  • King's Stanley Parish Council now has a Parish Office in the Village Hall open every Monday from 9.30-11am.
