RESIDENTS of the Cotswolds and North Wiltshire may be seeing the first snow of the winter this weekend.

Steve Ball, of GlosWeather, said: “It’s certainly going to get a lot colder. I think over the higher ground there’s a good chance of some sprinkles of snow through Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

“Temperatures on Saturday and Sunday night are also likely to drop to zero, which means we will certainly see the first frost of the winter as well.

Steve, who is based in Cirencester, added: “It’s been a very mild autumn, which is great for the central heating bills, but the first frost and snow potentially arriving on the same weekend is always great to hear.”
