TEMPERATURES dipped down towards freezing last night, leaving much of Stroud covered in a thin layer of frost.

It will be a very cold and icy start to the morning and there may be some fog patches in the east.

A dry and bright day will follow however, although cloud will move in from the west through the afternoon.

Temperatures will rise to 9°C at their highest.

But rain, heavy at times, will move eastwards overnight.

This will clear western parts, leaving a dry, breezy, but rather cloudy end to the night here.

It won’t be quite as cold as last night though, with temperatures reaching a minimum of 4°C – so expect a little more ice on your cars tomorrow morning.
