A NEW pop-up children’s boutique swung open its doors to a busy day in Stroud town on Saturday, November 14.

Owners Sam O’Brien and Heloise Wire of Albert & The Giant Cat, have curated a range of children’s wear, books and magazines, a treasure trove of captivating and inventive toys, Christmas decorations and loads more to delight shoppers.

Commenting on how business has been Sam O’Brien said: “It’s been great and people seem to like what we were doing.

“We’re testing the market to see if there is an appetite for it.

“This is the first incarnation of the shop and what we’d really like to see is a hub for children and their families in Stroud.”

To mark their launch, all children and cats are invited to enter Albert & The Giant Cat’s Grand Raffle to win an accordion worth £52.99 or one of ten runner-up prizes.

Customers can pick up a free ticket from the shop at 9 Union Street.

The winner and 10 runners-up will be drawn and announced during the Stroud Goodwill Evening on Friday, December 4.

Meanwhile keep an eye on the shop’s Facebook page as they will be running a series of creative workshops for children and their parents.
