TWO sisters found a long lost recipe left behind by their great grandmother to win top prize at the Crown and Sceptre's Grand Autumn Pickle-off.
Eliza Fisher and sister May found the forgotten recipe for apple chutney lying in an old box of photos.
They decided to cook up the chutney as a Christmas present for their dad, Dan Fisher, who used to enjoy his grandma's cooking, and also entered it into Stroud's premier jam and chutney competition.
The recipe came out tops in the best of show category.
There were more than 70 entries in the Pickle Off held earlier this month and hundreds of customers came along to the pub to watch judges sample the dishes.
