  • Stonehouse Goodwill Fest Saturday, November 28, Come along and meet Father Christmas in his grotto. Lots of stalls, face painting, fun fair, vintage cars and the magical lantern procession at 5pm and the Christmas lights will be switched on. A real family occasion.
  • Christmas Craft and Produce Fayre. Saturday, November 28, from 10am-1pm. Lots of stalls including: Godsell’s cheese, Christmas wreaths, Selsley preserves and a Christmas luxury raffle. Refreshments. Entry free.
  • Cotswold AONB Wardens’ Walks in and around Stroud. Wednesday, November 25, a five mile walk taking about three hours from Cranham village school to Coopers Hill.   • Savvy Seniors Cinema Club meets every Monday at 11am at the Vue Cinema in Stroud. Next Monday, November 30: Paper Towns. An American mystery comedy-drama film based on a novel of the same name. Use your bus pass to travel into Stroud and for just £3.29 you’ll enjoy good company a film and a cuppa and a biscuit.   • Friday Night is Bingo Night in Stonehouse Community Centre starting at 7pm.
  • Want to get out on a bike but not sure how to do it. Stonehouse Wheelers is a family friendly Cycling Club and always welcomes new cyclists. If you are new to cycling why not get in touch with the Secretary Roy Jones on 01453 298759. They organise a range of rides, on Sunday afternoons, to cater for the ambitious and the not-so ambitious.   • Christmas is Coming. Put the date in your diary for the special Crib Service at St Cyr’s on Christmas Eve at 2pm. Children are invited to share in the story so do bring them along dressed up as one of the characters in the story.
  • Stonehouse Magpies Social Club: Large hall available for hire for all types of functions daytime and evenings. Please ring 07944 562643 to check availability and cost.
  • Hats for Seamen. These are always needed and I would like to thank everyone who has been knitting these over the last few years. They go to the Seafarers’ mission in Bristol to be given to sailors who are at sea away from home for many months. Please keep knitting. And if you are new to this patterns are available from the town council. Or if you have any unwanted balls of wool that could be put to good use please get in touch.   • Stonehouse Library Baby Bounce & Rhyme and Bookstart Bear sessions are back. Every Wednesday at 10.30 – 11am during school term time. Stonehouse library is there for everyone – there is a Home Library Service and why not let us promote community group or charity events. The building is also available as a venue for meetings.   • Stonehouse Pensioners Club. Come and meet old friends and make new ones by joining the Stonehouse pensioners club. We meet alternate Wednesdays at the Stonehouse Community Centre at 2pm.
