A BRAVE schoolgirl has had her first hair cut in around two years to help children suffering from cancer.
Ania Bond, aged 12, from Maidenhill School, has raised around £150 in aid of The Little Princess Trust which provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.
Mum Hayley Rowley said: "Ania had not had her hair cut for about two years and she did not want to waste it.
"We spoke about what she could do and I told her about the work of The Little Princess Trust and how they help children who have lost their hair due to having treatment for cancer."
It is the first time the Maidenhill School pupil has had such short hair, after having around 14 inches cut off.
