SCORES of drivers were seen breaking the 20mph limit on London Road in Stroud as police carried out speed checks.
Sixty-six vehicles were recorded travelling over the speed limit as two PCSOs carried out speed checks between Cornhill and Waitrose roundabout where 566 vehicles were observed over 90 minutes on Saturday, January 30.
Three vehicles were seen travelling at over 30mph.
The speed check was put in place after Stroud District Council passed on a complaint to police regarding speeding in the area.
An advisory letter will be sent to the registered owners of the vehicles in due course, whilst the local policing team continue with regular speed checks.
