A WARNING has been issued to children and parents after two men followed a boy as he was walking to school in Quedgeley.

The boy, 14, was walking to school at about 8.40am last Thursday, February 4 when he became aware of a van alongside him with two males inside.

The driver of the van followed the boy into Water Meadow and Lower Meadow before stopping at the junction of Lower Meadow and Field Court Drive.

Here the boy ran over the road via a crossing and into a lane so that the van couldn't pursue him any further.

Police have been in contact with the boy's school and an alert has been put out to other schools in the area.

The boy could not see the driver very well but described the passenger as a "fat faced" male, approximately 50 years old, of dirty appearance, with curly blonde hair.

The vehicle is described as a white Ford Transit van with an "Express" decal on the rear passenger side.

The decal was in yellow text and peeling off .

The rear of the van had two outward opening doors that when closed were blue on the outside and red in the centre (split across both doors).

If you have any information on this incident or can identify the men please call 101 and quote incident 412 of 4 February.
