HISTORY fans can go to a talk about the land girls in the Second World War at The Hub in Tobacconist Road, Minchinhampton.
Chairman of the village’s Local History Group John Williams said: “The Women’s Land Army (WLA) was a civilian organization commonly known as land girls formed to work in agriculture replacing men called up to the military and played a major role in Britain during World War Two."
The presentation takes place on Tuesday, March 15 at 8pm and costs £2 for guests.
