AN E-FIT has been released after an elderly man in his 90s was robbed at his home in Stroud.

The elderly man was asleep in a chair in the lounge of his home in Middle Hill when he was confronted by the man.

He repeatedly pushed the victim back into his chair every time he attempted to get up, demanding money.

A brown leather wallet, the victim's drivers licence, an unknown amount of cash and a box containing jewellery belonging to his late wife and sister were all taken.

The robber forced entry into the house through a back downstairs window.

It happened between 8.40pm on Friday, April 1 and 8.40am on Saturday, April 2 at a home in Middle Hill.

The offender is described as white, in his late-teens or early-twenties, around 6ft tall and of skinny build.

He had short, light-brown hair, a thin, long face and was described as speaking with a speech impediment.

Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in connection with the robbery.
