BUDDING musicians were given a licence to thrill in front of a packed crowd at Woodchester Mansion.

More than 70 students took part in the Bandit 16 Music Project, which had a James Bond theme.

The students, aged eight to 16, met up at Maidenhill School in Stonehouse for a three day workshop and formed 16 bands.

Each band was given a James Bond film to research and write a song about, before the performance at Woodchester Mansion on Thursday.

Musician Kevin Howlett set up the projects ten years ago while working as a performance arts technician at Maidenhill School.

He said: “The students were amazing again, working really well together and creating some great songs.”
