WALKERS out and about in the Stroud valleys were caught in a burst of hail in the middle of a brief thunderstorm this afternoon.
It comes after the warmest day of the year in Gloucestershire yesterday with a spokesman from The Met Office predicting a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers.
“Persistent rain, heavy at times, will spread slowly northwards tonight,” the spokesman said.
“The rain probably clearing to the north later, with showers following from the south. Winds freshening for most. Minimum Temperature 6°C.”
Steve Barrrett captured this video of the storm.
