THOUSANDS of people took part in the annual Amberley Cow Hunt over the bank holiday weekend.
The popular event at Amberley Parochial School saw children hunt down 37 amoo-usingly named and brightly dressed sculptures.
To celebrate the forthcoming arrival of real cows to the surrounding National Trust Common, over the wooden cows were located in various places around the village of Amberley and the surrounding common.
The sculptures were creatively named everything from Mince George and Cowlo Ren to Moonet and Picowsso.
Refreshments were available at a fabulous vintage tea tent on the green outside the school, complete with a sumptuous array of homemade cakes and wonderful views.
Face painting and other children’s activities were the order of the day along with the fabulous Cow Hunt quiz.
Funds raised will go to help the school, as well as Bath based charity Send a Cow, which provides livestock for families in Africa.
