HORSLEY Primary School marked an extra sunny May Day with traditional spring celebrations in the parish churchyard before parading through the village.
The festivities started at 9am this morning with the school's oldest boy Marcus Fuller Watts dressed in beech leaves as the Jack in the Green.
Following tradition, he opened the door of the church, supported by the May Queen Charlie Drew to let in the light to welcome the day.
