Saint James' Church, Quedgeley: Clouds, blue skies and mobiles
THERE were cotton wool balls, brightly coloured paper and lots of string for the craft activity at the popular family service in Saint James’ Church on Sunday.
Children were keen to design and make their own mobiles.
The theme for the morning’s service was based on the story of the ascension when Jesus goes to heaven.
Children wasted no time as they eagerly made their own individual mobiles that showed each stage of the story.
The ‘not so young’ also decided to take part too.
The morning was jam-packed with activities including worship and praise and children joined in enthusiastically to the hymn “Lord of the Dance’.
Father John Rector and Parish Priest said: ‘It was another splendid morning. The children loved making the mobiles and took them home. It was good to see so many people, not only parents and their children, but grandparents too. Everyone entered into the morning’s activities and had fun”
