CHILDREN from Bisley Blue Coat Primary School dressed their village wells with flowers today to celebrate Ascension Day.
A procession, including Avening Silver Band, headed through the streets to the ancient waterhead in Wells Road as part of a tradition started in 1863.
Some pupils wore replica uniforms known to have been worn by children at Bisley Blue Coat during the early 1900s.
The procession followed a service at All Saints’ Church.
