A CYCLIST from Stroud was assaulted by a van driver in a road rage incident on Tuesday.
The victim, a 46-year-old man, was cycling along Gloucester Road past the GCHQ building when he was struck by the wing mirror of a silver Ford Transit van.
When the cyclist and van driver met at a set of traffic lights further on, the cyclist pushed the van's wing mirror in.
The offender then chased the victim onto Campden Road where he was assaulted. He sustained non-serious facial injuries.
Anybody who witnessed this incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 70 of May 17.
