A WEEK of music, comedy, drama and food kicked off with a bang on Saturday as hundreds of visitors turning out to enjoy sights and sounds of Nailsworth.
The first weekend of the Nailsworth Festival showcased an entertainment extravaganza to suit all tastes.
Held in Mortimer Gardens, the annual festival, which returned for its 33rd year, also offered a range of stalls and shops selling foods, gifts, snacks and crafts.
During the daytime, the duck races took place in the brook running through the gardens.
This beloved event raised money to support St Dominic’s’ Primary School.
Among the many highlights were internationally renowned Escher Quartet, singer songwriter Sam Lee, who won this year’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Traditional Track, and well-known TV wildlife presenter, Miranda Krestovnikoff.
