A GROUP representing small businesses has urged companies in Stroud to protect themselves against cyber-crime.
Two thirds of small businesses nationally have been the victims of cyber-crime in the last two years, according to a new report.
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) polled its members about online attacks and found that on average small businesses lost £3,000 each as a result of cyber-crime and fraud.
Russell Warner, the chairman of the FSB’s Stroud-based Cotswold branch, said: “Every company in Stroud must do what it can to protect itself but we also can need support from the government, police and other agencies to help us deal with this serious and growing problem.”
