Hartpury netball talent, Paige Reed, will face the top teams in the world after being selected for the England senior side.

Paige, 18, from Brockworth, looks set to make her senior England Netball debut after being picked for their Australia Tour from August 4th to 15th, 2016.

England’s touring squad, led by head coach Tamsin Greenway, has been selected from the Under-21s Long Squad and National Academy programme and, if selected in the starting line-up, goal attack or goal shooter Paige would face Australia and New Zealand.

The former Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Sciences student and one of the stars of Hartpury’s netball programme – has previously represented England Under-19s and 21s.

Tom Radcliffe, Hartpury’s Director of Elite Sport, said: “Everyone at Hartpury is so proud of what Paige has achieved. She has always worked so hard and it’s great to see her perseverance and determination pay off with selection for the full England squad. It will be fantastic if she wins her first senior England cap.

“We’re all very much looking forward to watching her in action against the best teams and some of the best players in the world. It will be a huge test for her and the rest of the squad but I’m sure she will take her chance to shine on the international stage.”
